frost attack

Rather like the frosts we had last New Years Eve, today I went for a walk while my daughter slept in her buggy, and took some photos of snow, frozen, semi-thawed, and frozen a bit more.

Some of the photos seem evocative of a story where you can imagine that the cold is overpowering everything in the land. A few shots show something that seems to be escaping from the cold, or more like holding out against it for as long as possible, but it will only be a matter of time before everything is enveloped in a shroud of beautiful crystallised ice...
