This amazing structure is a major attraction in Cheshire. While walking around the arboretum recently, I took some photos of it. I like this photo as you really get a sense of how big it is - the building on the left of the shot is one that staff work in, so those little black squares are windows... helps you get the size of the dish into perspective.
The photos in this gallery were taken in Feb 2004. They've since opened up a path allowing visitors to walk around the Lovell Telescope - so we went back again in August 2004, and I took some detail shots.
