We live about 14 miles from the start of the Peak District. It's a wonderful place. There are hills and farms and trees and rocks and walls and water and air and grass and wind and rain and sun and sleet and rich commuting types who live in their fancy village houses and commute to Manchester and drive the price up so massively that locals can't afford to live where they were brought up and have instead to live in big smoky towns like Stoke-on-Trent.

Notes: The small village nestling in the hills there is Flash. I think it's the UK's highest village, and sits at about 1,500 feet above sea level. It's situated on the road between Leek and Buxton.
