These are my desktop wallpapers. I started making them about 4 years ago, when I first started out with jimpix. A visitor said a few hi-res wallpapers on the site would be nice, so I made some.

The first four desktop wallpapers I ever made were scanned and photoshopped photos of some of my first daughters toys sat on the kitchen worktop:

Before I bought a digital camera, I discovered how much fun could be had with using a scanner as a camera, so I scanned a load of things I thought would look interesting as wallpapers. Here are some good ones:
use flash [top]
Next up was the discovery that I could use the standalone Flash Player to make desktop wallpapers. If you have a copy of Macromedia Flash installed then you can open up any .swf file, and then when viewing it in the Flash Player, press CTRL + F together and the player jumps to full screen mode.
You can then press (assuming you're using a PC and not a MAC / Linux / anything but a PC) the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard. Then go to your graphics application, open up a new file and paste via Edit > Paste, or CTRL + V, and the screen print from your flash player will be available to save into a wallpaper.
The massive advantage of using Flash is that you can generate some mind blowing images without having to do all the hard work...
I made load using my flash 3click .swfs (from www.deconcept.com). There were a load of fairly crappy initial ones:
A few years later, (late 2003) I had another go and made a much better wallpaper:
When I discovered the pleasures of political satire, I made three more flashy wallpapers:

Driven onwards by mediocre download rates of my wallpapers, I was like an insane beast, searching all the time for new and interesting ways to make wallpaper. During a low ebb, I even resorted to scanning my second daughters feet:
Next in line came my face:
followed by my dad's face!
use politicians [top]
In Feb/March 2003, I started making wallpapers as a way of having a dig at George Bush and Tony Blair as they planned their illegal 'war' on Iraq. This gave me loads of ideas, and people were soon downloading my wallpapers as anti-war fever spread across the globe like a rash of chickenpox...
These are my favourites:
For these, I generally pulled the photos of the politicians off news sites on the web, and let my imagination take over for the rest.

During a very dull training session, I drew some doodles, and turned those into wallpapers:
And for others, I did some illustration work in Flash / Photoshop, and turned those into wallpapers too...
